Mathematical colloquium
Regular dates and directions:
At Clausthal University of Technology, in the Institute of Mathematics, a mathematical colloquium takes place regularly on Wednesdays (unless explicitly announced for another day) in seminar room A (R209) on the 2nd floor of the Institute of Mathematics, Erzstr. 1, 38678 Clausthal-Zellerfeld.
Travel information
The Institute of Mathematics is located directly in the city center of Clausthal, behind the former post office only about a minute's walk from Kronenplatz or the bus stops Kronenplatz or Adolph-Roemer-Straße.
If you are coming by car from Osterode or Seesen in a south-westerly or north-westerly direction into Clausthal-Zellerfeld, you will come to a junction with traffic lights after a few hundred meters. From here, Clausthal's main road, Adolph-Roemer-Straße, leads uphill to Kronenplatz. Take the paved road (Hindenburgplatz or Adolph-Roemer-Straße) in the direction of Zellerfeld (from Osterode straight ahead, from Seesen turn left at the traffic lights). After a few 100 meters you will reach the junction at Kronenplatz, where you turn right into Erzstraße. After about 50 meters you will see the building of the Institute of Mathematics on your left at Erzstraße 1.
If you are coming into Clausthal-Zellerfeld from Goslar in a north-easterly direction, drive through Zellerfeld. At the lowest point of the main road, take the second exit on the right at the traffic circle, up the hill to Kronenplatz. There, turn left into Erzstraße. After about 50 meters you will see the building of the Institute of Mathematics at Erzstraße 1 on your left.

Procedure:
From 16:30, there will be an opportunity for all interested parties to have a chat over coffee and tea in the library room (R111) on the 1st floor, where you can get to know the lecturer. The actual lecture will take place in seminar room A (R209) from 17:00 to 18:00, followed by a scientific discussion until approx. 18:15.
If the speaker's plans allow, there will be a follow-up session in a restaurant from around 6.30 pm. Anyone who would like to join us there is very welcome and should inform the secretariat before 12:00 noon by contacting Ms. Mastmann on 05323 722066 or ulrike.mastmann@tu-clausthal.de.
