Mathematical Colloquium

At the Clausthal University of Technology, in the Institute of Mathematics, a Mathematical Colloquium is held regularly on Wednesdays (if not explicitly announced for another day) in the conference room (R107) on the 1st floor of the Institute of Mathematics, Erzstr. 1, 38678 Clausthal-Zellerfeld.

Travel information

The Institute of Mathematics is located directly in the city center of Clausthal, behind the former post office only about one minute walking distance from Kronenplatz or the bus stops Kronenplatz or Adolph-Roemer-Straße.

If you arrive by car and drive into Clausthal-Zellerfeld from Osterode or Seesen coming from the southwest or northwest, you will reach a traffic light intersection after a few hundred meters. From here, Clausthal's main street, Adolph-Roemer-Straße, leads uphill to Kronenplatz. Follow the paved road (Hindenburgplatz or Adolph-Roemer-Straße) in the direction of Zellerfeld (from Osterode straight ahead, from Seesen turn left at the traffic lights). After a few 100 meters you will reach the intersection at Kronenplatz, where you turn right into Erzstraße. After about 50 meters you will see the building of the Institute of Mathematics at Erzstraße 1 on your left.

If you are entering Clausthal-Zellerfeld from the northeast coming from Goslar, drive through Zellerfeld. At the lowest point of the main road, take the second exit right at the "traffic circle", up the hill to Kronenplatz. There you turn left into Erzstraße. After about 50 meters you will see the building of the Institute of Mathematics at Erzstraße 1 on your left.

Schedule:

Starting at 16:45, there will be an opportunity for all interested to talk over coffee and tea in the meeting room (R206) on the 2nd floor, where you can get to know the speaker(s).The actual talk will take place in the conference room (R107) from 17:00 to 18:00, followed by scientific discussion until about 18:15.

If the plans of the presenter(s) permit, there will be a wrap-up session in a restaurant starting at about 6:30 pm.
