Research

The group of stochastics works in the field of nonlinear stochastic partial differential equations (SPDE);
research interests are well-posedness theory, modelling aspects, and numerical methods.

Ongoing research projects are:

  • Stochastic Allen-Cahn equations and the modellization of interfaces and micro-cracks
  • Finite Volume schemes for SPDEs
  • Variational inequalities for SPDEs: Lewy-Stampaccia inequalities and nonlinear SPDEs with reflection
  • Non-Newtonian fluids with stochastic perturbation: Analysis and numerics
  • Freidlin-Wentzell's large deviations for stochastic evolutionary p-Laplace type equations
