Applications of analysis and linear algebra

In this course, we will show how basic knowledge of analysis and linear algebra can be used to solve selected numerical problems. We will cover the topics of equalization calculation (method of least squares) and solving matrix eigenvalue problems and present examples of each.

Finally, as a non-numerical topic, the geometric representation and classification of conic sections and their generalization quadrics will be discussed.
