Dominic Breit completed his doctorate in Saarbrücken in 2009. He then worked as a postdoc at the University of Oxford, LMU Munich and the University of Florence. He completed his habilitation at LMU Munich in 2013. In 2014, Dominic Breit took up a position as Lecturer at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and was promoted to Associate Professor (Reader) in 2018. Since October 2022, he has held the Chair of Mathematical Modeling at the Institute of Mathematics at Clausthal University of Technology.
