Welcome to the homepage of the Data Science and Applied Statistics working group!
The working group "Applied Statistics and Data Science" is headed by Prof. Dr. Benjamin Säfken since the summer term 2022.
On the one hand, the working group deals with application-oriented and -motivated method development. On the other hand, we support users, for example from economics, engineering and life sciences, in questions concerning statistics and data analysis.
In teaching, we are responsible for the basic statistics education of students from the fields of business/technomathematics, economics, industrial engineering, and (business) computer science. In addition, we offer advanced courses for interested students from a wide range of disciplines.
Furthermore, we support researchers of TU Clausthal by offering statistical consulting.
