Vortrag von Erwin Luesink (Amsterdam) zum Thema „Stochastic compressible fluids from a geometric point of view“.
Abstract: Stochastic fluid dynamics has received a lot of attention recently due to its ability to represent unresolved scales and data while maintaining physical consistency. In this talk, I will introduce the geometric point of view on how to derive stochastic fluid equations and use it to derive stochastic equations for compressible fluids with a type of transport noise. By looking through the glasses of statistical mechanics, I then provide some formal comments on invariant measures related to such equations.
