The Continuous Optimization research group develops and analyzes mathematical methods and algorithms for high-dimensional nonlinear optimization problems. It thus makes an important contribution in the field of mathematical modeling, simulation, and optimization (MSO) to make novel mathematics more readily available as a key technology in a wide variety of application fields.
