    Part of the joined project "Catalytic and microbial methanation as basis for sustainable energy storage"

  • High-resolution Simulation of Denitrification
    Part of the DFG research group 2337 "Denitrification in Agricultural Soils: Integrated control and Modelling at various scales (DASIM)".

    Creation of numerical programs for the improved Simulation of denitrification (the mbcrobial conversion  of nitrate to nitrous oxyde or molecular nitrogen) by resolution of the multi-scale process with a hierarchy of models at pore and continuum scale

     

  • Creation of a prototype of a next-generation land surface model
    Part of the projects EXA-DUNE: Flexible PDE Solvers, Numerical Methods and Applications in the DFG priority program SPP 1648-2 "Software for Exascale Computing"

    Application of the modern tools created in EXA-DUNE for a highly-efficient Simulation of the water and heat transport at the earth's surface, especially in the vadose zone
